That seems plausible. Allthough if that means Locke comes back to life, it would probably confuse a lot of people [not like they haven't already done that!] and perhaps result in more lost [pun not intended ] viewers.

Here’smy two cents: I think why Ben wants to take Locke back to the Island with everybody else is that he intends a time travel once they get back there. So in order to prevent possible chaos, everyone must be there as in the beginning.

Whatever the hell happened after the “Oceanic 6″ left, Ben probably intends to take it all back to where they were to resolve it.

I think the island could still move in time, I intend to post something about that in my blog later this week (http://ncjl.wordpress.com/). Also I believe that Ben isn’t really banished from the island or anything I think he just won’t know where it is, he could probably still get back at some point, and it’s pretty clear that he intends to go back.
