Yeah, as far as I understand it, to be a General in a certain playlist, you will have to have earnt a certain amount of EXP by winning or tying games (in that playlist).

To be a General overall though, I think the criteria is still the same as it is now.

^Actually they stated you dont have to get a 50 to get a general in anything anymore. It depends on how many games you win within a playlist.

The playlist changes are [probably] already live; as for the auto update that will introduce the rank’s for each playlist: Bungie haven’t said when that will go out…. so, we don’t know yet!

And, there’s no clan support to answer the guy who posted on the forum in the above comment.

actaully the ”You may be thinking to yourself “Hey, that’s a pretty short change list.” While a lot of the changes done this month were backend things that players will never notice, you would be right to think that August’s changes feel very minimal. The reason for this is that we’ve been focused on preparing a larger series of changes to Matchmaking for September. Much larger.” part is referring to the monthly changes to the playlists. This being the adding of new maps and variants to each playlist and the tweaking of others. The list of these changes is also included in that update.
