Opera 9.5 released

So, “Kestrel” has finally gone final.Click to visit Opera.com

It’s significantly faster at rendering than previous builds and there are a couple of good new features including a new default theme.

One of my favorite new features is that all the text on pages you visit is searchable so, for instance typing kestrel in your address bar after viewing this page would show you an extract from here. That’s useful.

I can’t help but think however that it was a little rushed towards the end (based on beta releases); though that is probably just so it is released before Firefox 3 (not that it should really matter) who announced their release date yesterday. Not a fan of Firefox though, so I don’t care. Opera, in my opinion is much better.
